Do You Know What Your Savannah Home Is Worth Right Now?
Every summer, thousands of Chatham County homeowners receive a property assessment notice in the mail.
For most people, it gets opened, glanced at for a moment, and then placed in a stack of papers to deal with later.
But that little notice raises an important question.
Do you actually know what your home is worth today?
Not the Zestimate.
Not an online estimate.
Not what your neighbor listed their house for six months ago.
I mean a real, data-backed estimate of what your home could sell for in today's Savannah market.
Because knowing that number can affect far more than just a future home sale.
Life Lately
Summer has been flying by, and we've been trying to soak up every minute of it.
We're currently rewatching Ted Lasso, partly because we're excited for Season 4 and partly because all the World Cup coverage has soccer on the brain again. If you've never watched it, now's the perfect time to catch up.

I'm also finally reading How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie with our team. It's amazing that a book written nearly 90 years ago still feels so relevant today. Some lessons really are timeless.

Anna and I recently stopped by The 5 Spot to try their new menu, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. If you haven't seen our latest Ladies Who Lunch feature on social media, be sure to check it out. You might even have a chance to win a $100 gift card.
At the Harris house, we're making the most of our final summer before Ethan heads off to college. We recently took a fishing trip to the Florida Keys and caught snapper, snook, trout, and jack crevalle. Ethan even had a giant grouper on the line... but the fish won that battle. It's already becoming one of those family stories we'll tell for years.

And if you've driven through Ardsley lately, you're probably counting down the days until the Reynolds Street drainage project is finished. It's one of those improvements that everyone is excited to see completed.

Celebrating a Major Milestone
This month marked something incredibly special for the Harris Home Team.
We officially closed our 400th transaction.
When Alison started the team in August 2021, reaching 400 families served in less than five years wasn't something anyone imagined.
Behind every one of those transactions is a different story.
Some were first-time buyers finally getting the keys to their first home. Others were families relocating across the country, downsizing after decades in one home, or celebrating a new chapter.
Every closing represents someone's biggest financial decision, and we're incredibly grateful they trusted us to help guide them through it.
To every client who has worked with us, referred a friend, or simply cheered us on along the way...
Thank you.
We're honored to be part of your story, and we're excited for what's next.
Why Knowing Your Home's Value Matters
Most people assume they only need to know their home's value when they're thinking about selling.
That's simply not true.
Your home is likely one of your largest financial assets, and understanding its value can help you make smarter decisions throughout the year.
For example, your home's current value may affect:
Your Insurance Coverage
If your home's value has changed significantly since you purchased or refinanced, you could be carrying too much or too little insurance coverage. Reviewing your home's value with your insurance provider can help ensure your policy still fits your needs.
Your Property Taxes
Your annual property assessment helps determine your property taxes. If the county's valuation seems too high, there is only a limited window to appeal. Knowing your home's market value gives you valuable information before making that decision.
Your Home Equity
Many homeowners have built more equity than they realize over the past several years.
That equity could potentially be used for renovations, college tuition, or other major financial goals. Understanding what's available starts with knowing what your home is worth today.
The Conversation We've Been Having All Summer
We've been running home value analyses for homeowners all summer long.
The most common response?
"I had no idea."
Sometimes people discover they have more equity than expected.
Sometimes they simply gain peace of mind.
Either way, they walk away with real information instead of guessing.
Do You Know Your Number?
You don't have to be planning to move.
You don't have to be ready to sell.
You don't even need a timeline.
If you've ever been curious about what your home could be worth in today's market, we'd be happy to run the numbers for you.
No pressure.
No obligation.
Just honest information you can use whenever the time is right.

FAQs
How can I find out what my home is worth?
A professional home value analysis compares your property to recent local sales and current market conditions, giving you a more accurate picture than automated online estimates.
Is my county property assessment the same as market value?
No. A property assessment is used for tax purposes and may differ from what your home would sell for in today's market.
Do I need to be planning to sell to request a home value analysis?
Not at all. Many homeowners simply want to understand their home's value so they can make informed financial decisions.
